Do You Like Your Dentist?

I inherited my Dad's teeth. By the time he was a 17 year old in the Canadian Navy (he lied to get in), he had a full set of dentures. Fortunately, for me, dental procedures have come so far since Dad's day, that now, you don't have to have every tooth that cracks, or breaks, or chips, or gets knocked loose pulled I have a bridge, and several crowns. If it wasn't for this advanced technology, I can't imagine what my front teeth would look like! I had them knocked loose a couple of times during sports, and eventually they need replacing, of they were just going to "fall out". I got a bridge put in there, and it just made a world of difference in my appearance and my confidence! I've had them for 20 years, and I'm so glad I went through the procedure to get it done. Find a dentist, if you're new to an area, or don't have a dentist you're satisfied with!

Hoops Anyone?
For those of you who aren't aware, we're a family of tall ones! I'm 5'10" tall, my daughter is 6'1" tall, and my son is 6'3" tall. Needless to say, we all played basketball at one time or another during our lives. My first year to play was in grade 9 in my little hillbilly high school. Kids didn't start playing until Junior High "back then". I didn't play at all in grade 10, because I didn't think I was good enough. For grade 11, I moved up to the city to a private school, and all the boys conned me into trying out for the team, mostly because of my height! Well I made the team, and the first year, was the second string center. In my senior year, I was the starting center, and was basketball obsessed!! I played all day long, even when I was supposed to be in class! I'm not sure why.... I was never very good.

My daughter played one year Junior Varsity, and was LOUSY! She had been a competitive figure skater all her life, and recently quit, so they thought she should play basketball. Lesson to coaches: A giraffe is tall, he can't play basketball EITHER!

If your kids are into basketball, there is a huge sale on basketball equipment over at Pro Dunk Hoops. They have all kinds, and price levels of driveway basketball hoops, as well as coaching aids, and tall the equipment need to safely install, and use your new basketball hoop/court!
