I have never been to N.C. but I would love to go! Home of the 2005-2006 champion Carolina Hurricanes, NHL team. They beat my very own Edmonton Oilers in game 7! A sad day for us indeed, but throughout the whole series, during the TV coverage, they showed lots of sights from around the city! It looked like a beautiful place for a vacation.
Raleigh boasts the Best Small Concert venues, and ranks as America's best place for singles. Raleigh has plenty of museums to enjoy if you're more of the artistic type, along with theater, concerts, and performing arts.
If you're a sports enthusiast, like myself, catch a Carolina Hurricanes game, or play a round of golf! There's also plenty of locations to enjoy some outdoor activities, like canoing, sailing, hiking the many trails, etc.
If you're looking to have a great fall experience, a perfect event could be the Celtic Halloween, where there will be concerts, musicians, games, food, a haunted trail, merchants, etc.
Raleigh looks like a beautiful vacation spot!
