I got up early, and started emptying the living room. I got it all taped, the walls prepped, and am just about ready to prime the walls. EXCEPT I can't get some of the screws from the vertical blinds out, and I want to throw those suckers into the GARBAGE, along with the poofy valance that goes with it. YUCK! Do you have any idea how much HAIR gets stuck to those blinds with the cats and dog always sitting at the living room window, watching??? It's beyond gross, and they're so hard to vacuum!! To the garbage they go. I don't care that they're custom made, I don't care that they're good as new. They're out of style, and a hair magnet, impossible to clean, and out they go!!! I'd rather have bare windows until I can afford different drapes! I also have to get a bigger ladder, or some scaffolding, because there's no way, even on top of my step ladder, with a full extension on the roller that I can get to the top of the big wall. I'm going to see if hubby will go next door and borrow theirs for me! Joe is a painter by trade, so he's got all kinds of stuff around there. I might start, and do as much as I can reach, because I can't wait to cover up the green giant! (I have the large wall painted in hunter green..... while I loved the color for a long time, the paint that the painter we had hired used is FLAT!!! It's like chalkboard paint. It's been a total nightmare. PLUS now I'm sick of the colour too!)
I have the living room nearly empty, and taped and all a jumble, the dining room full of things from the living room, laundry on the go, and the hardwood in serious need of a swiffering, dressed in my painting clothes, when Sarah calls to tell me that her, Jay, and Jay's Dad are on their way out to bring Jess's bed out here to store. This is the man I walked in on in the men's room the only other time I met him...... now I'm sure he just thinks I'm one classy dame! Sarah even "let him in my house!!!" Accckkkk!
Apparently the move into Jay's new condo went very well. I lent them some painting stuff, and told Sarah what to buy for paint and primer, and Jay's folks painted to the 2 bedrooms, while Ben and Jay moved furniture. Now he's returned to the farm with his dad to get ready for harvest.
Well I best get moving again before I seize up!

Sounds like you have the same vertical blinds I do! Ours are fabric, we've had them forever, and you could pull a full grown cat off of each slat, there was so much hair attached to them! I threw them in the wash, since hubby got that wall painted, I figured the weights in them would help straighten them out.
Suffice it to say, I got off my ass and finally bought a nice set of curtains. Now I need to go find a rod to fit the window...
