Damn Sam!

I was flying on home down the highway, on my way to get my hair cut, when I heard this gawd-awful knocking sound. I turned my radio down, only to find out to my horror that it was my car!! All of a sudden, it seemed that my gas was doing "nothing"! I heard a terrible BANG, and coasted over off to the exit that was fortunately very near to where I was. I called hubby to let him know, and then called AMA for a tow truck.

It seems that I've blown the engine in my car. I will get a "quote" tomorrow for the cost of putting in a new one. Then I have to decide if it's worth repairing or if I should go car shopping. I suspect I'll go car shopping, but I need to give it some serious thought. At this point, my first choice is a Jeep Liberty, but I also want to look at cars.

We've been taking the kids toboganning for the last 2 days, which means morning, and afternoon for me. All that fresh air and exercise is making me seriously TIRED!

AND I had to cancel my hair appointment! *pout*

I'm sorry to hear about your engine. That is usually not a cheap fix, which I am sure you know. Good luck on your decision.

The tobaganning sounds like fun but exhausting!

And...bummer about your hair appt!

By the way, I have failed to tell you that I love this new design! :)

I hate car problems, a new engine is very expensive....hope you find a vehicle you enjoy.

The tobogganing sounds like fun, all that fresh air, you should be sleeping well.

Too bad about your hair appt., I know when I need my hair cut I can't wait....hopefully you can get yours done soon.
Take care.

Wow! I'm glad you were able to get off the road safely.

Did your husband bust your stones about checking the oil? Mine went nuts about that when I blew out the engine in my old Nissan!

That sucks! The car AND the cancelled hair appt. :) What do you do w/a car that doesn't run? Can you still use it as a trade in? I traded mine in after hitting a deer...it was ugly but still running. LOL!
