Just Call Me SpongeBev, Paint Brush!

Whew! I think, that I'm finally finished painting at school for the "most part". I did 12 little wooden chairs. Tiniest damn things you ever saw. Kind of awkward to paint! A coat of primer and 2 coats of paint. YES that's like painting 36 little chairs. Then we had a set of 4 little plastic chairs that were orange (puke), dirty and thirty years old. I bought some blue plastic paint, and spray painted the chairs blue, and the legs white. They look like new! I ran out of white paint though, so the legs need a second coat of white to be finished. I also painted this nasty plastic water table we have for the kids, blue, and it also looks just like new now. I did hear rumor that she had about 10 more of those little NASTY orange chairs. I don't know if I can stand to do 10 more of those! I don't know why the hell we need so many little chairs when we have so few kids!

In the afternoon I did some "fun" painting. I had found a bunch of images I wanted to use for a mural last spring, but I didn't have anywhere near enough time. I used the overhead to put the first image, of a little elf/fairy guy laying in the grass, surrounded by flowers, with his finger to his mouth, going "Ssshhhh". He's just adorable! The next one we'll add is a little fairy girl sitting inside a tulip. We're just doing one part at a time, so that it doesn't have to look unfinished, or in progress. I'll take pictures on Tuesday morning before the kids come. We have staggered entry next week, so we just get a couple of the kids/day. The teachers have visited all their homes. So far I know we have one who eats kleenex and towels and books, and one who sucks his toes. Otherwise, all is well!

Wow, you've been busy. You are so creative! I could NEVER do a mural, overhead or no overhead. That's just awesome!

Sucks his toes? ;)
