Kitchen Remodel - Day 7

Today was hubby's first day of 2 weeks vacation, so I finally had some help with this task from hell! I was up and at it by 7:30 this morning, and he joined me shortly after and put all the hinges back on the doors, while I painted the first coat of trim color on the doors. Then he put all the new drawer pulls on. They look spiffy! They're brushed pewter. He also installed 3 of the new light fixtures, and they also look really nice. They've got the pewter trim as well. He has another fixture to install in the cooking area, and then a ceiling fan in the eating area. I also got the rest of the walls prepped, washed and taped off, and a first coat on all the back entry walls, and a couple more. I'm LOVING this green color. It's such a soft green! It looks so fresh and clean. I'm very happy with it!

First thing tomorrow, we're going to hang the doors back on, and then I'll paint the second and final fucking coat of trim color, and any touch ups. It can dry all day, and we'll put the knobs on tomorrow night. Once the doors are all out of my eating area, I'll have room to move around and finish prepping and taping the walls in there, and I'll finish with the first coat, and start on the second coat. There are 2 shelves to install, and some pictures to be put up, and then it will be done for now.

I still have to purchase curtains/blinds, and fabric for the chairs, but at least we'll have our kitchen back!

It's still raining here. We've had more rain in the past week that we typically get for the entire month of July. Sounds like Ben and the boys survived their first night of camping in the monsoons. Hubby is all jealous, as ZZ Top is the closing band on Sunday night.
