Yesterday brought another horrible winter storm and along with it, some more ugly driving conditions! Ben & a buddy nearly hit a semi yesterday on their way home from lunch. The visibility was so bad that Ben's friend didn't see a car stopped ahead on the highway to turn left until they were nearly on top of it. Mark swerved out and around it, but then started fishtailing all over and got within about 2 feet of an oncoming semi before regaining control. They were scared witless! Good thing Mark was travelling at a pretty slow rate of speed.
Sarah and 2 fellow nursing students were here overnight, as they have a conference in Edmonton to go to today, so I had to rush home and make supper last night, before we went to watch the Oilers cough up another game in the third period to the Leafs. Blech!
On top of that, today is the NHL trade deadline and it's highly rumored that my favorite Oiler, Janne Niinimaa is going to be traded today for Tucker (a dirty, filthy player from the Leafs....yuck! Hate him!) I even have an Oilers jersey with Niinimaa on it, and if he get's traded, all I'll have is a jersey with a bunch of VOWELS!
I'm sure if I sat here another 10 minutes I could think of something else to whine about.
